The Great British Cup 2010

Congratulations to all involved.

SPS finished in Joint 8th place (along with Wigan PS) in the 2010 Great British Cup DPI Competition, 4 places higher than last year!

We are still the highest ranking L&CPU club, after winners Wigan 10 in this competition.
Owing to the bad weather the new Gt British Cup-Natural History competition could not be held so will be judged at a later date (and we have a very good entry for that one too!)

North Cheshire Print & DPI Competitions 2009

Two competitions were held by NCPS to packed houses at Poynton of Wednesday 12th February and Thursday 13th .For Wednesdays print competition Gary Parker and Mike Pollitt attended and in the final scores we were joint 5th with 3 other clubs on 87 pts, only 2pts behind the three 2nd placed clubs on 89pts with Wigan 10 winning on 94.5 pts.

Our entry was Culture Corner by Trevor Davenport 16 pts, The Onlooker by Gary Parker 17 pts and Alan Barnes by Paul Bentley, Freestyle MX Rider by Brian Tarr and Booze Snooze by Mike Pollitt all getting 18 pts.

The following evening Peter Pauwels and Mike Pollitt went again to see the Digital Projected Image competition in which we finished joint 12th with 5 other clubs on 9 pts. The competition was won by North Cheshire PS with 16 pts, beating into 2nd place, wait for it….Wigan 10 and Leek PC, both on 15 pts. Well done North Cheshire!

Both these events were great for seeing some of the best digital images in the L&CPU, it is just a great shame that more SPS members don't support the club in these outings. There are usually some spare seat going in the car, just ask.
The next BIG event is on Saturday February 28 at Chorley with prints in the morning and DP Images in the evening. These two competitions will feature the very latest digital images in the L&CPU and should not be missed.

Please come along and support YOUR club.
